Valla is a mixed-reality sport where two Circles compete in the same physical room and the same virtual field at once — built to train mental fortitude, physical fitness and emotional healing through play.
Two Circles, one court, three moves. The loop is short enough to learn in a session and deep enough to train for years. Athletes must be willing to straddle the line between the physical and the virtual.
Read the field and call the play. Every point starts with a signal thrown by hand — your Circle either sees it or doesn't.
Move the body to move the field. Footwork in the room changes position on the virtual court, so conditioning is strategy.
Close the distance and score. A clean strike lands only when signal and drift arrive together — that's the whole sport.
Valla is built on a mythology of Orders, Guides and Diamonds — a world our athletes inherit rather than watch. Applied Afrofuturism means the culture is load-bearing: it sets the rules of play, the names on the court, the way a Circle holds each other accountable. We don't decorate the sport with heritage. The sport is made of it.
Community is the product. A Circle trains together, travels together and is ranked together — there is no individual ladder to climb out of it.
“No one is doing this for the culture.”
XRG is phygital kit: worn on the court, tracked on the field. Three material languages, each one a different answer to the same question — what does a body need to compete in two places at once.
Woven, breathable, repairable. The base layer an athlete trains in every day and keeps for seasons.
Engineered panels and retroreflective marks the tracking system can read across a full court.
Pigment, weight and grip — the pieces that mark an Order and take the wear of contact play.
Kutters is a wrist-worn peripheral for hand tracking in Valla. It sits on the forearm, watches the hands from the inside out, and sends signal to the field without a controller in the way. No grip, no buttons, nothing between a player and the play.
Rankings open when the first Circles compete. Standings are held by the Circle, not the player.
A league is a set of rooms with people in them. If you have a room, a practice, a city or a platform, there is a way in.
